1978 – 5.75×6 in. – watercolor

This small watercolor is part of my series inspired by the night time light. With a night time scene, the viewer is less concerned with what is in the painting and more interested in the unusual lighting and colors that are usually not seen in watercolors.

The angle is from my studio window, looking across Jackson after a rain, at the Presidential Arms building and parking lot. The title is from Robert Frost’s “Acquainted with the Night”
