Two Trees

1979 – 12.25×13.5 in. – oil on panel

The heavy snow brought out the contrast between the two trees, with the heavy burdened branches hanging down and the thin leaf-less branches reaching up. I’m not sure if the red car was really there or whether I  introduced the color to set up a visual rhythm with the brick buildings.
